The Central Board of Secondary Education has clearly laid down rules, roles, power, and bylaws for the formation and management of a School Managing committee in CBSE Affiliated Schools. Mandatory formation of School Managing Committee All the CBSE-affiliated schools must have a School Management Committee as stipulated in RTE Act 2009, and any other enactment or regulations framed by the State/Appropriate Government. Composition of School Management Committee: The management committee of a recognized aided school  consists of not more than fifteen members, and the management committee of a private unaided school consists  of not more than twenty-one members; However, in the case of senior secondary schools offering vocational subject additional member(s)  as per subject offered may be appointed as per stipulated limits.
